Merit Badge Work Over The Holiday Break

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Dec 10 2016 - 12:43pm

A scout has requested to work on Commucation Merit Badge.   Mrs. Bunger-Spiecha will hold a short 10 minute meeting during the December 19th troop meeting with any scouts that wish to begin work on Communcation MB.   Please have a signed blue card and the merit badge book, the e-Book, the interactive eBook or at least a copy of the requirements (google it).  The purpose of the meeting will be to go over expectations and to identify which requirements you will do on your own and which will be facilitated by Mrs. Bunger-Spiecha.  The "group" work will be done on periodic Monday nights from 6:15 to 7:15 in Jan/Feb/March.  Exact dates will be distributed when they are known.

Mrs. Bunger-Spiecha is a MB Counselor for Cooking, Communications, Sustainability, Textile, and Programming.   I generally work from home during the holiday break so have time during the break to meet with scouts about Merit Badges.  Preferred method of communcation is in person or by phone 908-638-6654 on evenings until 9:30PM and after 9AM on Saturday or Sunday.

Breakfast with Santa Shift Sign Up

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Dec 10 2016 - 10:23am

All scouts are asked to sell $40 in tickets and to work a shift the day of the breakfast.   Sign up for a shift here:   SignUp.comhttp://signup.com/go/6V88MK

One of the guiding principles of the boy led troop is that the boys should work for the funds needed for what they want to accomplish.   There are 40 scouts in the troop.  Parents are welcome to volunteer but it is our expectation that the breakfast can be staffed entirely with the scouts. You can add a "plus 1" to your signup to let us know you are willing and if your help is needed, Mrs. Schwierk will contact you.

The Senior Patrol Leader has ticket books for all the scouts that did not pick them up at the previous two weeks' meetings and will bring them to the meeting on the 28th.

Church Work Day

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Nov 19 2016 - 8:15pm

18 scouts and 7 adults worked for a little over 3 hours today and got all of the needed work done to get the grounds ready for winter. Thank you to everyone who helped out with this project. We value our relationship with Clinton Presbyterian Church and are thankful for their continued support of our troop.
