Eagle Project Help Needed

Posted by jbungerspiecha on May 22 2018 - 3:32pm

Hi, this is Xavier.  My Eagle Scout project involves Child Safety.  I have arranged for Law Enforcement (the Clinton Township Police, the NJSP, and the Hunterdon County Sheriff's Office) to present/demonstrate various child safety events.  I have personally invited the North Hunterdon/Voorhees school sending districts.  So, the attendance can be 50 or 500 people.  I will need help welcoming families, directing them to the different locations, assisting at refreshments, assisting the Law Enforcement officers as needed, and setting up/tearing down the tablesWhen:  Friday, May 25, 2018 (National Missing Children's Day).

Where:  North Hunterdon High School (Main Gym)
                1445 Route 31, Annandale, NJ 08801
Time:  Set-up:         5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
           Project:        6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
           Teardown:  9:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Thanks,   Xavier

Eagle Project Work Day June 16th

Posted by jbungerspiecha on May 22 2018 - 3:26pm

Hi is this is Billy Moyer. On Saturday, June 16, from 9:00 am to 3:00pm, I am holding a work day for my Eagle Project at the Flemington Food Pantry (154 Route 31 North Flemington NJ - behind the Walmart.)

The project involves painting part of the interior of the Food Pantry, so wear clothes that can get dirty. Food and beverages will be provided for lunch. No other tools are necessary for you to bring. Even if you're not able to be there for the entire duration, I would still greatly appreciate your help.

If your planning on coming, email me at billymo2254@gmail.com. Thanks!

World War II Campout -- A "Should Not Miss" Campout

Posted by jbungerspiecha on May 18 2018 - 6:48pm

Every year, the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading PA hosts a World War II Weekend event. This event is very large and features an Air Show -- with airplanes in the air and on the ground to look at.  It features re-enactments and re-enactors that will have historically accurate "encampments" that the scouts can visit and battles they can watch (and hear).   There will be lectures and presentations by world war II veterans and historians.  There will be USO-style entertainment.  If your scout likes shopping - over 300 vendors will be there selling military collectables and tchotchkes (and food).   Check out this page of information for a full list (with pictures) to get an idea of what to expect: http://www.maam.org/wwii/ww2_sched.htm

CANCELLED: Campout May 18/20
