Welcome to Troop 121's Website!

Sherlock Holmes fans rejoice.  In February, we will learn about crime scene investigations, fingerprinting, psychopaths, mock trials and modern day surveillance techniques.

We will celebrate Scout Sunday with Clinton Presbyterian Church and give back to our community by working with all of the other Scouting units in Hunterdon County at a county wide Food Drive.

We will welcome new scouts crossing over at the end of the month.

The Panthers are in charge of the program.

Leaf Cleanup CPC Work Day November 19 10AM to 1PM - 100% attendance is expected

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Nov 10 2016 - 12:01pm

CPC is a beautiful church surrounded by many large, old and beautiful trees.  One of our main service projects for our charter organization each year is to ready the church grounds for the winter.  This includes clearing all the fallen leaves from the grounds and the CPC part of the cemetary and clearing sticks and other debris that have accumulated.   This is a major workday and all scouts are needed in order to get the work done.  Adult help is needed too to use leaf blowers etc.   Mr. Bower is expecting 100% attendance for this work day.  Please come dressed in layers for the weather and bring any tools that you might have - rakes, gloves, leaf blowers, safety glasses.  Patrol leaders will be making calls to confirm date and time.  Rain date is Sunday afternoon November 20 (1 to 4).

James Izlar's Eagle Project Help Request

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Nov 5 2016 - 10:21pm
Dear Scouts and parents,   This is James Coleman Izlar.  I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project, which is to build two to three map kiosks in the town of Clinton on behalf of the Clinton Guild for business. The kiosks would include points of interest around town such as the Red Mill and Clinton’s many businesses.  I want to make sure people see that Clinton is not only a town of great economic value, but one of historic value as well.
I am seeking your help in raising funds to build these kiosks.  Not only will they benefit the community, but they will also bring attention to the lesser known parts of Clinton for those who are visiting.  If you would like to donate any of the said materials or donate money to help purchase them, or if you would simply like more information on the project, you can contact me by calling me at (240) 678-5965 or email me at jman4everiz@aol.com.  Please send your donations by mail to 58 Blane Ct, Asbury, NJ 08802, attn. J.C. Izlar, Eagle Scout Project, or via the GoFundMe page listed here: http://www.gofundme.com/2wwcmgc .  Please make checks out to James C. Izlar.
Thank you again for helping me with this project.  With your help, these kiosks will be beneficial to both the people of Clinton and visitors alike.
Sincerely,   James C. Izlar

Check Out Life Scout John Paciga on iTunes

John just released a 4 song EP on itunes entitled "Gotta Play".  His vocals and piano remind me of a young Billy Joel. I've added it to my music collection and hope you will too.

Troop Library

Posted by jbungerspiecha on Nov 3 2016 - 1:48pm

As the new troop Librarian, I am asking you to return any merit badge books that you have borrowed and any merit badge books that you own and are willing to donate to help our troop library grow.

Can you please bring all books for the library to the next meeting on Monday, November 7th.  I will be posting a list of all the books the troop has in the library on the troop website so everyone can see what is available.  We are especially looking for the following titles:

Camping, Swimming, Sustainability

as these are Eagle Required and we have no copies of these.

Thank you. Michael Patuto

What’s an interactive digital merit badge pamphlet?

Posted by pbower on Oct 26 2016 - 8:01pm

A digital version of the traditional paper merit badge pamphlet, the interactive digital merit badge pamphlet brings the merit badge experience to life. It’s packed with features not found in the traditional pamphlet that amplify how Scouts earn merit badges and how counselors support Scouts in their journey. Features like “how to” videos, virtual tours, simulations, animations, and interactive Q&A’s are just a few extras Scouts will experience that’s not possible in print. Plus, unlike print, the features and content (like your badge requirements) are fully searchable so you can pinpoint the exact location you’re looking for.
